Formulas built from pH correct ingredients are a step above pH-balanced formulas. A chemist can take a harsh alkaline ingredient, even one that is natural and bring it to the pH balance of skin by mixing it with a strong enough acid ingredient. These formulas place stress on the skin, not as much as synthetic or petro-chemical formulas, but the skin still has to buffer the effects. By using only ingredients that, in their natural state, are pH correct for the skin, we give the skin building blocks it can use quickly, safely and effectively as it performs its magic in healing and rebuilding.

“Poor” ingredients are those your body simply cannot use. These inorganic ingredients have little or no benefit to the skin ... but many cosmetics and creams are FULL of them! Some poor ingredients have a lubricating or greasy feel to them, so while they may make your skin feels softer, they simply get washed off, giving no benefits. In some cases, these ingredients actually bind with moisture and once washed off leave your skin even more dry than before the product was applied, causing you to want it back on your skin again. This can literally “addict” the skin to these substances. And some companies use these ingredients on purpose to get consumers to use excessive amounts of them. At MiraCell we do not use “skin addictive” ingredients.

Many ingredients your body can’t use are common in cosmetic skin care products. Such ingredients include petroleum-based products such as petroleum jelly and mineral oil. These petroleum-based products are not absorbed by your skin and are very difficult to remove. They are not absorbed and have a suffocating effect on the skin.

This causes pores to clog and can lead to pimples, because the skin can not breath properly. Another poor ingredient is alcohol which is drying and irritating to skin. It has strong dissolving and evaporating properties that can bind with other active ingredients making them less effective.

You can grab almost any skin product from your shelf right now and check the ingredients on the bottle for those with little or no use, such as glycerin. This is a cheap filler that does nothing to help the skin. It just takes up space so it appears that you get more product for the same or less money. The problem is that your skin has to sort through all the fillers to find the ingredients it really needs.

Providing the ingredients in a highly concentrated blend supports the skin better by requiring less work for the skin to find the ingredients it needs. The “Good” ingredients found in many of the products manufactured by MiraCell include:

Apricot kernal oil is extracted from the kernel of the apricot. It will moisturize, tone, and soften lines to give a healthy glow to your skin. The extract is nourishing and suitable for even the most sensitive skin. Its excellent softening properties also work to soften hair and prevent dry scalp. It rapidly absorbs into skin and has natural lubrication that acts as a carrier to bring other active ingredients into the skin. Apricot kernel extract contains a high concentration of minerals and vitamins E and A.

Sesame extract comes from the seed of an East Indian herb known as Sesamum indicum. When applied to your skin, it forms a protective coating that prevents moisture loss as well as conditions and softens your skin. It contains mild anti-bacterial properties. Its soothing effect will relieve pain on sunburns, chapped skin, or other mild skin irritations. The oil reduces acne and the scarring that occurs with acne. Sesame extract also contains a high concentration of vitamin E.

Caprylic/capric tryglyceride is derived from coconut oil. The oil is great for making your skin smooth and relaxed. It prevents moisture loss by forming a barrier on your skin. It contains natural skin cleansing properties and does not leave visible traces of oil when applied to your skin. Also used as a thickening agent to make MiraCell Skin Relief & Support easier to apply.

Avocado extract is made by pressing slices of avocado fruit. It effectively works to cleanse and replenish your skin. So gentle that it soothes sensitive skin and is safe to use on almost all skin types. “Current speculation among researchers is that avocado oil may mobilize and increase the collagen of connective tissue. This would keep the skin moist and smooth in addition to having a favorable influence in the treatment for minor skin conditions.”

Avocado extract is also a good source of vitamins A, E, C and D and has mild anti-bacterial properties. It contains effective UV blocking properties; however, MiraCell products should not be used as sunblock except those with stated SPFs.

Squalane is derived from olives to help the healing process. It forms a protective coating on your skin to prevent moisture loss. It has cleansing properties that moisturize and is very compatible with human skin. This compatibility occurs because squalane is already manufactured in small quantities by your skin to keep it supple. As you grow into your twenties your skin produces less and less of this beneficial product. It is also approved by the FDA for the treatment of rashes, when used at the FDA specified concentration.

Jojoba extract comes from the bean of the Jojoba plant. It works to condition and moisturize your skin. This extract is easily absorbed by skin and will not clog pores when applied. In fact, used over time jojoba extract reduces the appearance of pore size. Jojoba oil naturally contains a high amount of iodine giving it great power to heal skin.

It was used for hundreds of years by Native Americans to support skin health.

Camellia Kissi Extract is derived from the seeds of camellia flowers native to Asia. This extract is a soothing agent that also maintains soft, supple skin. It penetrates your skin to carry nutrients and other beneficial ingredients deep into skin and hair tissue. It contains plant collagen which reduces scarring, stretch marks, and dark, puffy eyes.

Rich in oleic acid, it dramatically helps the skin in antioxidation which protects skin cells from damaging free radicals.

Aloe is extracted from the leaves of the aloe barbadensis plant. It moisturizes with powerful skin penetrating properties. It has skin relaxing and anti-inflammatory properties that calm pain and assists in healing skin burns and other skin irritations. It can safely be applied to even the most sensitive skin. Penetrating your skin, aloe delivers moisture directly to skin tissue making it excellent for dry skin treatment.

It enhances dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and increasing suppleness.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps maintain youthful skin by slowing the aging process and increasing the protection of skin cells. It also strengthens the skin cell wall for more elastic, stronger skin. It also effectively functions as a skin conditioning agent. Reduces scarring and increases absorption rate through the skin.

Lecithin is an extract that comes from pressing soybeans. It helps prevent oxygen starvation and moisturizes the skin. It reduces flaking from dry skin to keep your skin intact and healthy. It can be effectively applied to relieve minor skin irritations such as scrapes and burns. Every cell in the body needs lecithin to strengthen cell membranes and protect the cell against oxidation. It contains B vitamins which helps wound healing. All living organisms contain lecithin.

Vitamin A palmitate soothes and nurtures during the healing process. It has been shown to increase skin thickness, elasticity and protein production in the skin. Vitamin A palmitate also decreases the appearance and depth of fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin D3 also soothes and nurtures during the healing process. With extended use Vitamin D3 improves the feel and firmness of skin. Vitamin A and D work together to fortify skin health and growth while giving skin a healthy glow.

Myrrh is the dried sap of the tree Commiphora myrrha, native to Yemen, Somalia and the eastern parts of Ethiopia. The sap has been used since ancient times in perfumes and for topical medicinal purposes. The pleasant odor made it a favorite ingredient in ancient perfumes and other scented oils. Myrrh contains mild itch, fungus, and bacteria preventative properties.
